Some Resources to Check for Boiler Installations

If you are hiring someone to carry out boiler installations in London, you should make sure he is really qualified for the work. How do you do that? Asking the contractor isn’t enough. Here are some resources you can check to ensure quality, legal, and safe installations:

Gas Safe Register
This is the official gas engineers’ registration body of the United Kingdom, Guernsey, and Isle of Man. The law mandates that gas engineers must be registered before they can work in the aforementioned areas.

The Gas Safe Register’s objective is to improve and maintain gas safety to the highest standards. To this end, they continuously ensure that their registered gas engineers are qualified to work by regularly inspecting them. They also track down those who are working illegally.

Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors
APHC is a non-profit organisation for the industry of plumbing and heating in Wales and England. Membership is not required by law, but it holds a certain distinction in the industry. That’s because the association coordinates with the government, consumer organisations, local authorities, and training bodies to ensure their members uphold best practices in the industry.

APHC serves as a resource for both their member contractors and consumers. Hiring a contractor who is a member gives further assurance of high-quality workmanship for plumbing and heating jobs, such as boiler installation.
